Chris Scott, author of the Adventure Motorcycling Handbook reviews his time on Honda’s near-iconic XR400

RUST has not one but three editions of Chris Scott’s brilliant Adventure Motorcyclists Handbook on its bookshelf (now in its 8th edition). The man writes a lot of sense and was there blazing trails long before the rest of us knew our GSs from our XTs. Scott also likes to do things his way, in his own time (gotta admire that).
Recently Scott decided to try a Honda XR400 as a desert adventure mount. What he reports makes a lot of sense – worth the read.
