With Lockdown being gradually eased, Italian firm Beta are celebrating a return to production with a sneaky first look at their popular Xtrainer model, updated for 2021. No images yet for the 2021 RR and Racing enduro ranges.
No detailed briefing on the changes as yet, but we have the specifications (for the 300 listed here, the 250 is identical save for bore & stroke and displacement). But as before, it’s sure to be a big seller with its ease of use, including soft-tune motor, electric start, automatic oil injection, low weight and low seat height.
This is what Beta has said so far:Â
The ingredients of this perfect recipe can be summed up as follows:
· Power delivery: pliable and linear, making it extremely rider-friendly; the countershaft reduces vibration, increases inertia and upgrades the power delivery curve. Augments the bike’s rideability through all the engine power bands.
· Beta Progressive Valve: allowing excellent engine performance throughout the rev range thanks to easy external adjustment
· Seat height: lowered to 910 mm (compared to 930 mm in the RR range) for greater confidence under all ride conditions
· Low weight: just 98 kg, ensuring an agile and intuitive ride, even for newcomers
·  Automatic oil injection: eliminating the need for a fuel-oil premix
· Soft tires: ensuring better grip on any terrain
· Mapping selector
