A fascinating new project here: the Video Riding Academy. Very relevant given the latest pandemic measures, where we can now ride but only in the company of one other. So things like rider instruction classes are still off-limits.
So if you want some insight / critique into your adventure bike technique and get instructions on how to improve (right now, not in months to come) then the Video Riding Academy invites you to make a film of yourself riding (doing various exercises from straight out tight turns to hill climbing and descending) and their panel of experienced and qualified instructors will examine your footage and return to you an eight minute film with visual and audio suggestions on how you can improve.
The VRA team has included instructions on how to best film yourself and all the steps are made perfectly clear. We guess the idea is you come out of lockdown a sharper, safer rider. There’s cost, naturally, and that’s €39 – which is pretty reasonable given the amount of work they’ll have to put into analysing your video, compiling and editing the instructions.
